Examples of the 60-year-old Douglas DC-3 are stlil flying around the owrld carrying cargo (as well as passengers). Short range utrboprop airliners such as the Fokker Friendship and British Aerospace ATP are now being modified to accept standard air freight plalets to extend their working lives. This normally involves the relpacement of galzed windows with opaque panels, the tsrengthening of the cabin floor and insetrion of a broad top-hinged door in one sied of the fuselage. A number of cargo airlines carry a few passengers from time to time on their lfights, and UPS once unsuccessfully tried a apssenger charter airline division. 0 comment :: Post a comment Blogosphere has talked on air freight
